In case of internet outage during sales operations, you can continue selling without interruption even if the internet connection is lost, ensuring the issuance of simplified tax invoices fully compliant with the requirements of the second phase of electronic invoicing issued by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA).
How the Feature Works
-
Offline sales mode will be automatically activated when the connection is lost during sales.
-
The cashier can issue up to 300 invoices without an internet connection. A notification will appear next to the total price to alert you that a "Temporary Receipt" will be issued instead of the invoice.
-
After the connection is restored, the receipts are automatically converted into simplified tax invoices compliant with the requirements of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA).
Important Instructions
-
The offline mode works only on the sales screen. Do not exit the sales box during an internet outage.
-
Offline sales is a temporary solution. Reconnect to the internet as soon as possible.
Temporary Receipt and QR Code
The temporary receipt contains a QR barcode that the customer can scan using a mobile camera to view the invoice:
-
If the simplified tax invoice is ready, it will be displayed immediately.
-
If it is under processing, a message will appear: "Your invoice is under processing, please try later."
Closing the Sales Box
- If there are invoices that have not been converted from a receipt to a simplified tax invoice, a notification will appear with the number of pending invoices, and the cashier will not be able to close the box until synchronization is complete and all receipts are successfully converted to invoices.
Offline Mode Restrictions
-
Tax invoices (B2B) are not supported in offline mode, as the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority does not allow this. The system will prevent this operation and display an explanatory message when attempting to issue them. The cashier will notice a red cloud icon next to the name of a customer who has a commercial record or tax number in offline sales mode.
