How to create a discount coupon on the Rewaa platform

Learn how to create a discount coupon and set its value, choose the included products and branches, and show it to the cashier during sales.

#What are discount coupons?

They are a promotional tool that allows you to create discount codes that customers can use during purchase to get the specified discount.

Types of codes:

1. Universal Code: A shared code that all customers can use, suitable for seasonal discounts and general offers.

   Example: Discount code: SUMMER20, any customer can use it to get the specified discount in the coupon.

2. Unique codes: A set of different codes generated at once to be distributed to customers, allowing each customer to be given a different code, such as customer reward coupons.

   Example:

• VIP-2K7M

• VIP-8X4P

ℹ️ Note: The platform currently supports creating a general code shared among all customers, and unique codes will be available in upcoming updates.

#Steps to create a discount coupon

#Step 1: Choose the type of offer

1. .Go to Sales and Customers > Promotions

2. .Click on "Create Promotion"

3. .Choose "Coupons"

4. .Click on "Continue"

#Step 2: Add discount coupon details

Enter the following data:

• Promotion name: A name that helps you identify the discount coupon on the platform.

#Step 3: Set the duration of the discount coupon

1. Click on the "Start Date & Time" field, then set the start date and time of the coupon (mandatory)

2. Click on the "End Date & Time" field, then set the end date and time of the coupon (optional)

ℹ️ Note: The discount coupon automatically expires at the time you specify.

#Step 4: Specify Locations

1. Click on the locations field.

2. Choose the location or locations where the coupon can be used. 

#Step 5: Determine the type and value of the discount

1. Choose one of the following discount types:

   • Fixed amount off the product price.

   • Percentage off the product price.

2. Enter the discount value.

#Step 6: Specify products

Specify the products you want to apply the discount coupon to:

• All products:

  To apply the discount to all products in the specified branches.

• Specified products:

  To choose specific products from the specified branches and apply the discount to them.

ℹ️ Note: The option to specify categories will be available in upcoming updates.

#Step 7: Create the coupon code

1. Choose "Universal Code".

2. Enter the code you want to use in the "Coupon Code" field.

3. Specify the number of times the code can be used in the "Usage Limit Per Code" field.

   Or enable the "Unlimited Use" option if you want to allow the code to be used without specifying the number of times.

#Step 8: Show the discount code to the cashier

• Enable the "Show codes on POS screen" option.

  Discount codes appear in the sales box > Add Discount, and the cashier can choose the code directly.

#Step 9: Create the discount coupon

1. Click on "Create Promotion".

2. A confirmation message appears containing the discount code. Click on "Copy Code" to share it with customers.

#FAQs

1. Do I need to manually enter the discount code on the cashier screen?

   You do not need to do that. When the "Display codes on POS screen" option is enabled, the available discount codes automatically appear for the cashier to choose from directly during the sales process.

2. Can I create discount coupons from the Rewaa cashier app?

   No, discount coupons can only be created through the browser.

3. Can I edit, stop, or delete the coupon after creating it?
