You may sometimes need to sell a group of products together as a single product to the customer. This is where the role of the bundled product comes in. In this article, you will learn the steps to add it to the platform.
What is a bundled product?
It is a number of products that are added together to become one product sold to the customer, for example: a bouquet of flowers, a meal, etc. When any sale operation is made for this product, the quantities are automatically deducted from the inventory for the products added inside it.
Basic Definitions:

SKU (Stock Keeping Unit): A unique code for the product consisting of numbers or letters, not repeated on another product. You can add it according to the indexing system in your establishment or generate it from the platform.

Barcode: A set of numbers that distinguish products from each other.

Retail Price: The final sale price of the product to the customer.

Wholesale Price: The sale price in large quantities, usually lower than the retail price.
Steps to manually add the bundled product
Step One: Add the basic products to the platform

Go to Products and Inventory > Products.

Click on "New Product."

Choose the type of product: Single type product or multi-type product.

Add the data according to the type of product.

Step Two: Choose the type of product

Go to: Products and Inventory > Products > New Product.

Choose the type of product: Bundled product.
Step Three: Add the main information

Product name.

SKU (Stock Keeping Unit).
-
Barcode (optional).
-
Description (optional).
-
Product images (optional):

Click on "Search for images."

Choose the image or set of images you have and add them to the platform.

When adding more than one image, check (✔) the main image to appear on the cashier screen.
Step Four: Add products to the bundled product

Search for the name or SKU of the product you want to add inside the bundled product.

Click on the product name.

Determine the quantity for each product based on how it was added to the inventory,
💡Example: The name of the first product: (Flour) you previously added in the inventory as a simple product by the kilo, and now you need a certain number of grams, write the required quantity: 0.34 grams.
The name of the second product: (Eggs) you previously added in the inventory by the number of pieces, write the required number of eggs: 3.
Step Five: Add the quantity and price of the product
Add the following data:
- Retail price.

Wholesale price (if any).

Choose the type of sales tax.
ℹ️ Note: The initial cost of the product and the quantity that can be sold appear automatically, based on the details of the products you added to it. Any change in the cost or quantity of the products added inside the bundled product will directly affect its cost and quantity.
Step Six: Classify the product
- Product category:
Choose the product category, or click on the (+) sign and add a new category. For more details on how to add categories, click here.
ℹ️ Note: Specifying the category helps you divide products on the sales screen and know the sales of each category through the sales report by categories.
- Supplier:
Choose the supplier's name, or click on the (+) sign and add the supplier's data. For more details on how to add the supplier to the platform, click here.
ℹ️ Note: Specifying the supplier helps you know the sales from each supplier through the sales report for each product and search by supplier name.
- Brand:
Choose the brand, or click on the (+) sign and add the name.

Step Seven: Add the product to the platform
- Click on "Save." The product is added directly to the products section. You can start selling it or adding purchase invoices for it and other operations.
Frequently Asked Questions
1- Can a bundled product be added inside another bundled product?
Unfortunately, this option is not currently available, it will be added later.
2- Does the product description appear on the sales invoice?
The description is considered part of the product data in the inventory and does not appear on the sales invoice.
3- Can I temporarily stop selling the bundled product?
Yes, you can do that by removing the check (✔) from the "sellable" option.
4- Does selling the bundled product stop when one of the products inside it is stopped?
No, selling the bundle does not stop when a product inside it is stopped.
5- How many products can be added inside the bundled product?
There is no specific number, you can add all the products that compose it.
6- How can I modify the cost of the bundled product?
By modifying the cost of the products added inside it.
7- When selling the bundled product, a notification appears (Product not available)?
Make sure there is available inventory quantity for the products added inside the bundled product.
8- I have a set of services I offer to the customer, how do I add them to the platform?
Add all the services you have on the platform, disable inventory management for them, then add them inside the bundled product. For more details on adding services, click here.
9- Are there additional options for the bundled product?
Unfortunately, the feature of additional options is not available for the bundled product.
10- Can I modify the products or quantities after adding the bundled product to the platform?
Yes, you can do that, to add a new product inside the bundled product follow the fourth step of this article.
To increase the quantity: click on the (+) icon and to decrease the quantity click on the (-) icon or write the quantity manually.
11- Can I add the bundled product to the purchase invoice?
No, you must add the purchase invoice to the products inside it, and the quantities and cost will be reflected on the bundled product automatically.
12- Can I issue the bundled product?
No, because it is composed of several products. When the products inside it are issued, its quantity is automatically affected.
13- Can I transfer inventory for the bundled product?

By modifying the quantity of the products added inside it, either by adding purchase invoices, transferring inventory, issuing inventory, or manually adjusting the quantities.
