How to add a bundled product on the Riwaa platform

You may need in your business to sell products by piece or by carton (6 pieces, 12 pieces... etc.). The Riwaa platform allows you to add and link packages together automatically, so quantities in stock are updated directly upon sale or purchase. In this article, you will learn all the details.

#What is a product sold in a package?

It is a product that consists of several identical units sold as a single unit, such as a carton of water containing 6 bottles, or a carton of chocolate containing several pieces. You can sell it either as a single unit (piece) or as a full package according to the customer's preference.

#Steps to manually add a product in a package

#Step One: Choose the product type

1. Go to Products & Inventory > Products > New Product.

2. Choose (Single Type Product) if the product has no options.

3. Choose (Multi-Type Product) if the product has options like flavor or size.

#Step Two: Add product data

• Add the main information of the product.

• Add options and types (for multi-type products).

#Step Three: Enable the package sale option

1. Enable the option (This product is sold in a package).

2. Enter package sizes (example: 12, 24).

3. Press the ENTER button after entering each package.

4. The name and SKU for each package appear automatically, you can modify them if needed.

#Step Four: Add product quantity and price

• Enter inventory and pricing data.

#Step Five: Classify the product

• Add the category, supplier, and brand.

#Step Six: Add the product to the platform

• Click "Save". The product is added directly to the Products section. You can start selling it or add purchase invoices for it and other operations.

#Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I stop selling or purchasing one of the packages?
   Yes, you can do that. Remove the check mark (✔) from the saleable or purchasable option.

2. I entered the initial cost incorrectly, how can I correct it?

   After saving the product data, the initial cost cannot be manually modified or updated via an (Excel) file. The product must be deleted and re-added.

3. Can I remove or transfer inventory for products sold in packages?
   Yes, you can do that using the SKU for each package.

4. Is there a limit to the number of options or packages I can add?

   There is no limit, you can add all the options and packages you have.

5. Can I disable inventory management for one package of the product?

   Inventory cannot be disabled for one package, the disablement applies to all packages.

6. Does the product name change when the platform language is switched to English?

   No, product names appear as they were added. You can enter the name in both Arabic and English in the same field when adding the product to appear in both languages.
