Trial Balance A financial report that shows the balances of the general ledger accounts during a specific period, including assets, liabilities, equity, expenses, and revenues.

#Benefits of the Trial Balance

ℹ️ Note: Issuing the report periodically makes it easier to detect errors and review accounts.

#Accessing the Trial Balance

1. Go to Reports > Financial > Trial Balance.

2. Click on the report to view details.

#Displaying Data

1. Select the time period.

2. Select the location.

3. Choose the required level from the chart of accounts.

ℹ️ Note: When choosing the level: In a brief view, only the final accounts that do not branch into other accounts are displayed.

#Filtering Search Results

You can filter search results when adding cost centers:

1. Click on "Filter."

2. Select the cost center.

3. Click on "Apply."

4. Results appear according to the specified cost center.

ℹ️ Note: If you do not add cost centers, a window will appear (No cost centers added).

#Reading the Trial Balance

1. The account name appears with details in front of it.

   • Opening balance: (Debit, Credit).

   • Movement during the period: (Debit, Credit).

   • Closing balance: (Debit, Credit).

2. At the bottom of the list, the total for each account appears, and the debit and credit must be equal.

#Exporting the Report

1. Click on "Export":

   • To export the report to an Excel file, choose: Excel File.

   • To export the report to a PDF file, choose: PDF File.

2. The file is downloaded to your device.

1. What should I do if the trial balance report is not balanced?
   This may indicate an error in recording accounting transactions. Review all entries during the period to ensure there are no incorrect values, duplicate transactions, or omissions of any transactions.
