Account Statement is a financial report that summarizes all financial transactions that occurred on a specific account during a certain period. It helps you track financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and compare balances to ensure their accuracy.

ℹ️ Note: The Riway system automatically updates the chart of accounts and records daily entries (in an automated manner), so that account statements are always updated and ready for issuance.
Accessing Account Statements

Go to Reports > Financial > Account Statements.

Click on the report to view details.

Select the desired time period.

Choose the required account name.

Select the required location (branch).
Filtering Search Results
You can filter search results when adding cost centers:

Click on "Filter."

Select the cost center.
-
Click on "Apply."

Results appear according to the specified cost center.
ℹ️ If you do not add cost centers, a window will appear (No cost centers have been added).

Sorting Data

Click on the "↑ ↓ Date" field.

Choose the appropriate order:

Oldest first.

Newest first.
Reading the Account Statement
The statement contains the following information:

Opening balance.
-
Date: Date of the transaction (entry).
-
Type of transaction: Varies according to the account type (such as sale, return, manual entry…).

Reference number: Invoice number or transaction associated with the entry.

Entry number: The automatic or manual number of the entry.

Account: The specified account to display its statement.

Debit/Credit: Shows the amount in the appropriate column according to the transaction type.

Description: Shows the description of the entry if added.

Balance: The current balance of the account.
At the end of the statement, it shows:

Total debit and credit.

Closing balance of the account.
Exporting the Account Statement

Click on "Export":

To export the report to an Excel file, choose: Excel File.

To export the report to a PDF file, choose: PDF File.

The file is downloaded to your device.
