The Sales Report by Time Period provides you with a comprehensive overview of your sales. It includes charts showing sales and best-selling products, as well as a detailed table containing daily sales for each product during the specified time period, among other data.
Uses of the Report
You can use the report to specify a certain time period and find out:

Sales of a specific product.

Sales of a specific location.

Best-selling products.

Total sales, returns, and discounts.

Cost of goods sold and profit value.

Sales during specific hours of the day, such as morning or evening.
Accessing the Report
- Go to Reports > Sales > Sales by Time Period.
Filtering Report Data

Click "Filter."

You can filter the data by:

Date (from–to).
-
Product name or SKU.
-
Location.
- Click "Apply."
The data is calculated according to the filter options you chose.
Specifying Sales Time
The report displays sales for the entire day by default, and you can specify certain hours of the day to view sales during that time.

Click the time field.

Choose one of the following options:

24 hours: To display sales throughout the entire day (default setting).

Adjust Timeframe (Temp): To specify start and end times.

New Custom Timeframe: To create a period you can use repeatedly, such as morning or evening.
To Set a Temporary Period:

Click "Adjust Timeframe (Temp)"."

Specify start and end times.

Click "Apply."
To Add a Custom Timeframe:
Use a custom timeframe if you need to select the same hours repeatedly, such as morning or evening.
- Add the Timeframe Name.
- Select the Start Time and End Time.
- Click "Save."
💡 Example: To view sales for the evening timeframe, enter the following:
- Timeframe Name: Evening
- Start Time: 4:00 PM
- End Time: 12:00 AM
Sorting Report Data

Click the "Sort By" field.

Choose the appropriate sorting to display the data in the report.
💡 Example: When choosing "Highest Selling First," it shows you the products that achieved the highest sales during the specified date and time.
Report Sections

Sales Summary: Displays a summary of total sales operations during the specified period, such as the number of invoices, sales, tax, quantities, cost, and profit.

Daily Sales: A chart showing the value of sales excluding tax for each day within the specified period, helping you identify days when sales increased or decreased.

Monthly Sales: A chart showing the value of sales excluding tax for each month, helping you track changes in sales between months.

Sales Per Product: A detailed table showing sales for each product by transaction date and location, in addition to quantity, sales, cost, profit, discount, and tax.

Top 5 Selling Products: Displays the top five best-selling products during the period and specified filters.

Sales Per Location: Displays the distribution of sales excluding tax by location.
Report Data
Sales Summary: This data depends on the specified time period and filters.
Total Number of Invoices: Total number of sales and return invoices through points of sale during the specified time period.
Total Sales: Total completed sales excluding tax minus returns and discounts.
Total Tax: Total tax collected from the sale of taxable core products at all rates.
Total Sales (Including Tax): Total completed sales minus returns and discounts.
Total Sold Quantity: Total quantity of products sold before deducting returns.
Total Returned Quantity: Total quantity of products returned.
Total Cost Of Goods Sold Total cost of products sold minus the total cost of products returned.
Total Gross Margin: Sales excluding tax minus the cost of goods sold.
Daily Sales Table for Each Product
Transaction Date: The date the invoice was issued.
Product Name / SKU: Product name and SKU based on its data in the products section.
Location: The branch where the sale was made.
Quantity: Net quantity of product sold after deducting the returned quantity.
Sales: Product sales excluding tax minus returns and discounts.
Cost per Unit: Average cost price for selling the product.
Gross Margin: Sales excluding tax minus the cost of goods sold.
Discount: Total discount value on the product.
Sales Tax: Total tax collected from the sale of taxable core products at all rates.
Sales (Including Tax): Total completed sales including tax minus returns and discounts.

Exporting the Report
- Click "Export" and choose the appropriate format:
